World Childhood Freedom Day?

Nothing like a coordinated international day to bring a bit of attention to this issue. Perhaps it's one day when children can safely ride their bikes to school (with or without mom & dad). Maybe no buses that day (imagine how quite many neighborhoods would be). Then again, kids riding bikes to school is a significant threat to the folks who run and work in school transportation dept's and to school bus mfr's.

It's a lovely idea. Not sure how we'd organise it, though. I think before such a thing could be possible we'd need a lot more people interested in posting here than is currently the case.
