Children cycling in city centres

Where the cycling infrastructure is good enough, it should be possible for children to ride their own bikes in city centres. Here are some examples from the city of Assen in the Netherlands. This was enabled by removing cars from city centre streets and building a comprehensive grid of high quality cycling infrastructure to provide safe access by anyone to the city.
